What is a newsreader?
A newsreader is a special software program that allows users to access newsgroups.
Newsreaders are similar to both e-mail clients and FTP
clients in the fact that most web browsers have a bundled newsreader. And also like these other clients, there
are also stand-alone newsreaders. Again, the stand-alone programs very often have additional features, such as
advanced methods of filtering or posting articles.
