There will be no class meetings, this class in online only. The test book is Focus on Health 8th Edition. Below is a FAQ sheet about Blackoboard that I think will help you.
Blackboard Questions
How do I get to blackboard?
First go to your MyAVC web page and click on courses – on the left hand side of the page you will see a link to Blackboard – click on that link use the same user name and password you use for your MyAVC web page – find your class click on that link and you are in.
Where are the multiple choices quizzes?
The quizzes can be found by going to course documents on blackboard – once there find the chapter you are working on click on it and the find quiz click on it and when your done click on submit. Also there are many other helpful links for each chapter that will help you get ready for your next test.
How do I take part in the weekly discussion?
Once in blackboard go click on discussion board – then click on the discussion for that week – to take part in the discussion click on +thread – once there write your answer and click on submit.
Where do I find the tests?
The tests will be found under assignments – the link will be active only on test day from 12 AM until 11:55 PM. You will have 40 minutes to finish the test – for every minute over 40 there will be one point taken from your total score.
How do I send you my written project?
Once again go to assignments – click on written project – once there look and find where it asks you to attach your document – click on browse – find your you have stored you paper – attach it and hit submit – that is the only way I will accept your paper. Also you paper must be done as a Word Document Format only.
