Welcome to this AVCONLINE COURSES INFORMATION PAGE.
CA221 is one of three options for introduction to computers at AVC.
It is a four-units course, specifically designed for business majors who plan to transfer to university. It covers basics of computer concepts and uses, with applied learning projects that focus on business/professional practices.
- - CIS101 is for computer science and sometimes for engineering majors.
- - CA103 is for all other majors, non-transferring business majors, and those wanting to learn computer basics with no specified career focus.

REGISTERED STUDENTS for CA221 OL:
FIRST DAY OF SEMESTER:
(1) Log on to AVE website:
- - - Go to the AVC Online Courses home page - http://avconline.avc.edu/
- - - or login to your myavc.avc.edu account and click the My Courses tab.
(2) Click the AVC Blackboard login link to go to the Blackboard online course management system.
(3) Click the USER LOGIN button, to Log In to the Blackboard course environment.
- - Use the same User Name and Password to logon to the Blackboard website as you use to logon to the myAVC.avc.edu website.

FIRST ASSIGNMENT OF THE SEMESTER:
The course ORIENTATION TASKS must be completed by the end of the first week of the semester, Saturday, 9 pm.
*** ALL assignments are located in the LESSONS/LABS area of Blackboard.

REST OF SEMESTER
Once you have successfully completed the Orientation Tasks, and submitted the Assignment, I will score the work, and you will be able to access the course assignments and begin the course work.
- - Upon each login to Blackboard, always read the announcements first.
Once you are active in the online course, and have completed the Orientation Tasks,
COMMUNICATE using these Blackboard options:
- - DISCUSSION BOARD area Dialogue Chamber Q&A forum to communicate with the entire class,
