Greetings My friends call me Ed and my family calls me Eddie. I am happily married and have one daughter. You are invited to meet my family. I recently completed a Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in Educational Technology through Walden University. Wow, that was some journey! I am also (as you may have already guessed) a USC fan and graduate. I am a native Southern Californian, born in Northridge. I have slowly migrated up from the San Fernando Valley to Ridgecrest and back to the Antelope Valley. I am a Professor currently employed at Antelope Valley College. Some of the classes I teach are Introduction to Microcomputers, Intro to Computer Science, Intro to QBASIC Programming, and the MS Office applications. I have also taught Intro to the Internet and Intro to Telecommunications. Several of these classes have been taught online. Prior to coming on board at AVC, I was the Director of Information Technology at Cerro Coso Community College. Before that, I was a Senior Computer Scientist for a contractor on Edwards Air Force Base. While at Edwards, I worked in the Benefield Anechoic Facility writing software programs to support Electronic Warfare testing on multiple aircraft. After several years I transferred to a different division on the base and developed software in support of the ARIA navigation system. Prior to Edwards, I worked at Lockheed Advanced Development Company as a Senior Avionics Systems Integration Research Engineer. My most memorable time at Lockheed was during the eleven years that I worked on the F-117A program (this aircraft kicks butt). To really get away from technology, I sometimes enjoy going to the Renaissance Faire with my lovely wench :) EducationPhD Education, Walden University, 2009 MS Systems Management, University of Southern California, 1997 BS Computer Science, Chapman University, 1993 AA Computer Information Science, Antelope Valley College, 1988 Certificate of Completion - Digital Animation, Cerro Coso Community College, 2000 |
