Online class entry will be available no later than the start of the semester Monday morning at 8 a.m. and may be accessed by clicking on the Canvas link located near the bottom of the AVC Web page

>>> MS Office Office 365 Excel 2019 is used for all assignments in this course. This class does NOT cover MS 0ffice 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013 or 2016. If you do not have access to MS Office 365, you should plan on using the campus computer labs to complete your assignments. It is possible to get through this course with different versions of MS Excel, however, students will be responsible for any differences in the layout of the program, and those differences do not constitute an excuse for missing, incorrect, incomplete, or late assignments.

MAC users take note: The book will not always look like a MAC version of Excel and specific Mac functions are not covered in this course.

Microsoft offers students a free copy of MS Office 365 so long as you are a student. For more information checkout Get Office 365 for Free.

Warning: Not all functions are available if you use just the online version of MS Office.
There are two versions of Office 365; an online version and a desktop version. You should download and install the desktop version to ensure you have access to all the features available in each application. The online version does not contain all the features available in each application.

>>> Login information for access to Canvas is the same as your myAVC login data.

>>> All email communication with the teacher must be through the AVC email system. I will not respond to non-AVC email.

>>> Assignments in the textbook require data files necessary to complete the assignments. The data files will be made available in the classroom.
