USB Storage devices info
and usage:
IF
USING HOME COMPUTER:

ONE USB storage device.
-
Home computer hard drive.
-
Create a folder to store all of this course's downloaded
student data files and assignments' files.
e.g. C:\AVC\course#\ or create the folders
within your MyDocuments folder

If directly saving all work in progress files and completed
files to home computer hard drive, ALWAYS backup to USB
storage device after each work session.

If directly saving all work in progress files and completed
files to USB storage device , ALWAYS backup to home computer
hard drive after each work session.
IF
WORKING ONLY AT AVC OPEN LABS:
-
ONE USB storage device as PRIMARY device.

Directly
save all work in progress files and completed files to
PRIMARY.

Create a folder to store all of this course's
downloaded student data files and assignments' files.
e.g. C:\AVC\course#\

SECOND USB storage device to BACKUP all files after each
work session.

Create a folder to store all of this course's
downloaded student data files and assignments' files.
e.g. C:\AVC\course#\

Use TWO USB ports on the computer to Drop & Drag (or
Copy & Paste) the files from the PRIMARY device to the
BACKUP device.
!! NEVER work on the BACKUP
device. Always BackUp from PRIMARY device to BACKUP device
at end of each work session !!
USE OF HOME COMPUTER

You
MUST be running an undated ANTIVIRUS PROGRAM, AND you
MUST KEEP the ANTIVIRUS DEFINITION FILES UPDATED if you
wish to use your home computer for
this course.

recommend creating the following folder structure, or path, on your hard
drive:
C:\AVC\course#\

Bring the USB storage device to class.

Periodically Kathy may ask to view the files. And, if you have questions or problems, the only way to resolve them
would be to view the files
ALWAYS BACKUP!!
- EACH TIME, when you've finished
a lab or class session, make a copy of the PRIMARY device to the appropriate BACKUP (destination) disk(s):
