Guidelines for success	Complete the online assignments and quizzes (called assessments) as early as possible within the given range of recommended dates. There is a start date and an end date defined for each task. If you stay on this schedule you should be well prepared for the on campus exams. Spend some time reading the textbook or studying the online tutorials before you try the homework assignments. It is usually best to complete your homework before you attempt the quiz on each portion of material. You will be given several chances to get the homework problems right, so you may repeat the work until you get a high score (hopefully 100%). Homework assessments may be completed at more than one sitting, as long as you do not hit the “submit” button. Quizzes must be completed at one sitting. There is no time limit, but when you close the quiz you do not have an opportunity to continue at a later date as with homework lessons. You will have two attempts on each quiz. The higher of the two scores will be used. For Chapter 1 only, the homework lessons in educosoft are designed like quizzes. You will not have an opportunity to close the lesson and continue at a later date. Once you begin Chapter 2, the homework assessments will be very flexible and you will not need to complete the lesson at one sitting.

Sept. 13 - 15	Work on Practice Test #1 to be handed in on the test day. Practice Tests are posted under “Resources” and then “Documents” in your Educosoft “class.” Print out the test, work out all the problems, check your answers with the Answers doc found in the same list and bring your completed test to class on March 4. You must write all your work to get full credit. The set of five Practice Tests contributes 5% of your total score.
