House Swift (Apus nipalensis)  60  an apparent nesting colony using the eaves of large buildings (6/14); entirely absent from the campus on 8/9 survey, DUC. Elsewhere, fairly widespread and common in pairs and small flocks around towns and flying over adjacent agriculture forested areas.

Gray-capped Woodpecker  (Picoides canicapillus)  1  subcanopy of pines, LBM; 1 TLA; Note: This species strongly resembles small North American woodpeckers in the genus Picoides, e.g. Picoides pubescens, Picoides nuttallii, in morphology, behavior, voice, and ecology. In my opinion and in agreement with a recent systematic revision, it is more accurately placed in Picoides than in Dendrocopus.

Yellow-billed Whistling Thrush (Myophonus flavirostris) 2; ID note: bill appeared more orange than yellow.  predawn singing from one individual nearly each morning (0445 hrs.) in streamside second-growth bordered by a coffee plantation, JR; Others seen in secondary forest, often early in the morning on the ground in disturbed areas, DWP, and also in relatively undisturbed forest, BMNP.
